Tamara Wolfson
Tamara Wolfson is dedicated to supporting individuals to align with the deeper chords of their life’s path. She is a listener, healer & catalyst for authenticity. Trained as an osteopathic acupuncturist, she weaves together her knowledge and wisdom of botanical medicines, apitherapy, nutrition, meditation, Buddhism, Taoist philosophy, hospice, retreats and breath work to assist individuals with positive transformation. Tamara has been in clinical private practice for over 25 years.
In 1986, at the Swayambhunath Stupa in Kathmandu, Tamara had the auspicious opportunity to take refuge in the Buddha and received her first teachings in Tibetan Buddhist practice with the Very Venerable 9th Khenchen Thrangu Tulku, Karma Lodrö Lungrik Maway Senge. At 18, she began a serious practice of meditation and training in understanding the basic tenets of Eastern philosophy, religion, and meditation.
She has received teachings and direct transmissions within the Kagyu and Nyingma Lineages from the 3rd Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, Kalu Rinpoche, Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, His Eminence Chamgon Tai Situ Rinpoche, Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, Traleg Rinpoche, Lama Padma Karma, Bhaka Tulku Rinpoche and received the Medicine Buddha Empowerment from His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. These ideas and practices have served as an important touchstone for her over the past 35 years of meditation practice and she is excited to share some of her experiences in mindfulness training.
